Here's a kick ass video of the E.T. video game story. For those of you who weren't alive yet, this game was largely responsible for the destruction of Atari AND the video game industry in 1983. Nintendo saved the day with the american release of the NES in 1985.

A complete first, from what I can remember. These pictures are supposedly from a book that will be given to college students by Nintendo to recruit them into the company. If you'll notice the last picture, it definately says 2007... What's most interesting is we finally get a look at the back of the Revolution console, and it looks like it's definately in final production stages. The very first picture has been debated whether or not is shows the evolution of the Revmote or just a little kicker Big N threw in for laughs... I can only imagine what this book is worth on eBay. $$$

This photo shows the back of the Rev... From what I can figure looking at the green piece on the far left, the ports go in order from left to right: power, A/V out, fan/cooling vents, and two USB ports (stacked together like the back of a standard mobo). Interesting also are the color schemes... Seems we'll definately be getting white, black, green, and red.

That's pretty much it... there are a few other pages showing how they drew the sprites from Donkey Kong and the track layouts from Mario Kart DS. If I find them again, I'll post them as well.

In other news, the job I've been working on getting for the past few weeks is mine! It's a software company that'll definately put my foot in the door to where I want to go with my career, plus it's great $$$! w00t!

So while browsing online for some new choices in entertainment, I ran across a forum discussion with Kingdom Hearts 2 info and scans... Apparently there's an entire world devoted to TRON! OMFG Yes! Just look at this scan...

Also in the cast from the Final Fantasy series is Vivi, Seifer, Raijin, and Fuujin... I'm sure there'll be more, but damn I'm excited! Lightcycles, Recognizers, and Gridbugs, oh my!

While perusing a few nvidia forums today, I just happened to run across such an amazing display of intelligence that it'd be a crime not to share it...

People interested in purchasing computer parts or peripherals should be required to pass a generic computer hardware exam. Nothing too hard, mind you. Just something that shows they know in which general area of a computer the RAM is supposed to go or where the hard drive cable is supposed to hook up to on the motherboard. After working for the Geek Squad for a few years, you slowly begin to realize that the general populace should not own computers much less be around one. Too many times have I seen Joe Schmoe strolling up to the counter with his 6-year-old Dell Dimension and a multi-hundred dollar AGP video card visibly mutilated and sticking out of a PCI slot with a look of bewilderment on his face asking why he can't play "The Sims 2: URBZ" or "Big Game Hunter 2005". Find a dumpster, deposit computer, and buy an Xbox. /rant off

Haven't updated in a while, but couldn't resist the opportunity to share a classic moment in internet history. Smashmyxbox.com has done what so many of us have wanted to do. They waited in line before the store opened along with everyone else just to get their hands and their sledgehammer on the newest rehash of the infamous xbox hardware. From reading all of the articles on the launch, it seems that M$ didn't learn from Sony's mistake with the PS2 and had only an extremely limited amount of machines ready for the U.S. launch. It's also worth mentioning that there has already been many reports of faulty hardware, such as the unit scratching DVD's, locking up, and making an inordinate amount of noise, to the actual software itself being extremely buggy and crashing. It's a console! It shouldn't crash! But don't take my word for it. Peruse IGN's Xbox360 forum for just a sample of what $400 will get you. Here's a link to the smashing video for you lazy folk. Here's hoping this is Bill's last console.

Every once in while during life's journey there comes a person beyond all rationalization and reason that it really makes you sit down and question why humanity exists. I have been fortunate enough to meet two of these people, one of which will not be able to read this because he's currently serving 25 years for his irrationality. The second person of whom I speak crosses very close into the realm of being just as unreasonable and irrational. When you see someone with your own eyes jump out of a bush because he was stalking you or you witness the blood dripping off of your friend's hand from this someone deliberately throwing them on the ground while stealing their own children away, it really makes you question their sanity. These people do not belong in society. They belong behind bars. And what's most infuriating about this? The children have to watch all of it.

There is nothing worse in this fucked up world than a parent using their own children to get what they want. Your kids are not weapons to be used to blackmail someone into doing something they truly do not want, and I only hope that God forgives you for this, because they certainly won't. Maybe while He's at it, He'll forgive you for being an abusive and psychotic husband. Maybe not. Have fun roasting in hell.

The controller is finally here! OMGWTFBBQ, Nintendo? Looking beyond the design (iPod meets 20-year-old Sony TV remote), the functionality seems pretty impressive. If you haven't read the IGN article yet, here's some highlights. The controller recognizes 3D spatial movement. Left, right, up, down, forward, backward, plus tilting left and right. What does that mean? Imagine playing Legend of Zelda where you actually swing your sword to kill shit. FPS games where you actually have to aim. They didn't show any Rev games at TGS, but just a few very low tech demos showing the functionality of the controller. I'm a little bit skeptical. If this fails, Nintendo will have another Virtual Boy on their hands that they might not be able to recover from. On the other hand, third parties have already jumped on board including Square-Enix, EA, and Sega and are seemingly very excited about the possibilities. Another interesting note is that the name "Revolution" is nowhere to be found on the console, meaning that the name is definately going to change. Anyways, read the article, see what they thought of it, and view some screenshots. OH and check out the "expansion slot" for "accessories" on the bottom which will surely be a hit with the ladies... Mario Party will never be the same! I kid, I kid...

Edit: All I can say is WOW. Look at the video on this page. Try not to laugh when you see the old Japanese couple conducting Vivaldi.

I don't know why I've decided to do this, but nonetheless here it is. My Livejournal. Just typing that sends shivers down my spine. I haven't decided if it'll have a theme or if it'll just be a collection of complete randomness, which I guess in itself is a theme. I'll start this off with a link to my new favorite past-time; behold - Fainting Goats. Add to this a Flying Lawnmower and you pretty much have an endless supply of entertainment. As ebtb put it, winning the lottery just to buy a bunch of myotonic goats never sounded so good. That's enough for now. I'll try to update later.
